Project History

Background and historical notes.

Devon Mining Limited applied for Small-Scale Exploration Licence No. 41967-HQ-SEL on 23 September 2025. The licence was granted on 29 October 2025 and is valid until 28 October 2029, covering approximately 467.04 hectares.

Following grant of the licence, early-stage work focused on understanding the geological setting and preparing an appropriate exploration programme. During Quarter 4 of 2025, available regional maps, geological information and mineral-occurrence data were reviewed to support the planning of soil sampling, magnetic surveying and detailed geological mapping. Physical fieldwork was deferred during the rainy season.

During Quarter 2 of 2026, activities remained office-based and included review of available geological information, field planning, logistics coordination and preparation for engagement with customary leadership before exploration activities could commence. No physical exploration work was undertaken during that quarter.

During Quarter 3 of 2026, the project progressed into the Chief's Consent process under Chiefdom Musele. Tardis Mining Solutions Limited, representing Devon Mining Limited, engaged the Chairman of the Lands Committee, Mr Lawrence Mwanang'ombe, with facilitation by Headman Gilbert Solochi. A community engagement meeting was conducted and the project was presented as part of the traditional consent process. The matter is currently progressing through Chiefdom Musele's established governance structure, which involves several committees before verbal and formal consent can be obtained.

Physical exploration has therefore not yet commenced on Licence 41967-HQ-SEL, pending progression of the Chief's Consent process.
